Neighborhoods
The housing stock changes a lot across Lubbock, and so does the work. Worth knowing what we tend to find where.
- Tech Terrace — mostly 1930s and 40s cottages and bungalows with single-car garages, often off the alley. Plenty still have original wood doors, extension springs and openers older than the people using them.
- Rushland Park (“Rush”) — established west-central homes between 4th, 19th, Quaker and Toledo. Wider insulated doors, heavier hardware, more jackshaft openers.
- Melonie Park — south of Maedgen along Loop 289. Mostly 1960s to 80s builds now reaching the age where original hardware gives out.
- Maedgen, North Overton, North Pointe — a mix, from older stock to newer infill.
- Medical District — a lot of rental property around the hospitals, which means turnover work as well as repairs.
Do you cover the towns around Lubbock?
We cover Wolfforth, Shallowater, Idalou, Slaton, New Deal and Ransom Canyon. Wolfforth in particular has a lot of newer construction with wide insulated doors.
Most companies here, us included, add a per-mile charge outside Lubbock proper. Our pricing applies the same either way. We’ll tell you the number when you call rather than adding it at the end.

Yes, both, with the same mileage rate as the other outlying towns.
Do you work on rental properties?
