Why are there only three?
Because these are the ones we have in writing. The work has been going on far longer than the website has — most of it came by word of mouth, from a neighbour who watched a truck pull up two doors down, and nobody was asking those customers to type anything afterwards. Putting the business online is recent. The reviews will catch up with the work, and we would rather this page grew slowly and honestly than arrived full on day one.
If you want more than three opinions before you call, the better test is whether the answers on this site are any good. Read how spring replacement actually works or what drives the cost of a repair and judge from that. Somebody who can explain the job in plain English before taking your money is usually the same person who will explain it in your driveway.
What the three of them have in common
Read them together and the same three things come up, which is fair, because they are the three things we try hardest to get right.
- The door got fixed the day it broke. A garage door failure is not really a door problem, it is a car-trapped-in-the-garage problem, and it stops being urgent the moment the car can get out.
- The price was said out loud before the work started. We quote on the phone where the fault is clear enough to quote, and in the driveway before touching anything where it is not.
- Nobody was sold a door they did not need. Plenty of Lubbock doors are twenty years old and perfectly sound. If a spring fixes it, a spring fixes it — see repair or replace for where that line honestly falls.
Questions about our reviews
Are these reviews real?
Yes, and they are printed word for word. We shortened nobody, corrected nobody and invented nobody. Surnames are reduced to an initial because that is what the customers agreed to, which is normal practice and does not make the review any less real.
Why is there no star rating?
These came in as written comments, not scores. Attaching a number nobody actually gave us would be making data up, so we have left the ratings off rather than invent them.
How do I leave a review?
Call us, or use the feedback form. Tell us what the job was and what you thought. If it is unflattering we would still rather have it — it tells us something, and a page of nothing but praise is not believable anyway.
Do you take reviews down?
No. If somebody says we got it wrong, that stays up and we answer it. Removing a bad review only tells you the good ones cannot be trusted either.
What happens if I am not happy with the work?
Ring us before you write anything. If it is our work we come back and put it right at no charge — that is what the warranty and guarantees are for. Most complaints are faster to fix than they are to type.
