What should I have ready when I call?
It helps if you can tell us: roughly how old the door is, whether it’s a single or a double, what brand the opener is if you can see a label, what you heard when it failed, and whether the door is currently open, closed or stuck partway. That’s usually enough to give you a price range on the call.
If a spring just broke
Leave the door down and don’t try to force it. A door with a broken torsion spring weighs 150 to 400 pounds unsupported. Pull the red emergency release cord and keep people and vehicles out from under it.
Don’t keep pressing the opener button either — you’ll burn out a motor that was never designed to lift that weight on its own. Then call us.

What is the fastest way to get a garage door fixed in Lubbock?
Call and describe the fault rather than booking a blind visit. Most faults can be identified from a description — a broken torsion spring, a dusty photo-eye, a stripped drive gear and a door off its track all sound and behave differently. That means the right parts come out on the first visit instead of turning one call into two.
Can I send a photo instead of describing it?
Yes, and for some faults it is quicker. A photo of the springs above the door opening shows immediately whether one has snapped, and a photo of a damaged section shows whether the panel is repairable or needs replacing. Text it to the same number.

Is a broken spring an emergency?
It is if the door is stuck open, because the house is standing open. If the door is down and staying down, it is urgent but not dangerous — leave it down, keep people and vehicles from under it, and do not keep pressing the opener button. The opener is not built to lift an unsprung door and you will burn out the motor on top of the spring.
